Earth Day Potluck

Dear people of the Earth,

This Thursday, the 22nd, let’s celebrate our home planet and each other at our monthly community potluck.

When:  Thursday, April 22nd, 7pm

Where:  Sherwood Co-op, 4746 18th ave NE, in the University District

We will eat:  vegan or vegetarian dishes in solidarity with efforts to realize a non-violent food system

In honor of Earth Day we encourage creative action on this day and every day to counteract, reduce dependence on and build alternatives to industries and institutions that are destructive to the environment and ourselves.
Ideas for potluck actions:
- craft a delicious raw foods dish!
- share home grown food!
- bring environmental justice literature or thoughts to share!
- bike, walk, or use public transportation!
At 9, some of us will be parading to University of Washington’s red square to play music, eat food, and celebrate an hour without electricity.  You are welcome to join us!

We try to make our home a safe space, and to minimize the presence of
transphobia, racism, ableism, sexism, and homophobia. In our house, it
is always important to call people by their preferred gender pronouns.
To help with that, we’ll have name/pronoun tags for everyone to write
down their names and pronouns if they feel comfortable doing so.
